My absolutely proudest moment this year - exhibiting with the Society of Women Artists.
And this is why:
Society of Women artists had been est.around 1855 to celebrate fine art created by women, in a world dominated by man artists.
"Women were not considered as serious contributors to the field of art and had great difficulty in obtaining a public showing. Their education in the arts was limited and they had been excluded from the practice of drawing from the nude figure since the Royal Academy was founded. "
